Is Ashland City Responsible for This Motorcycle Crash?

Last month, a motorcyclist on a 2003 Harley-Davidson was riding on Little Marrowbone Road in Ashland City when he struck a pile of gravel and flew into the air before crash-landing in the middle of the road. When he was discovered, he was unconscious. He died later at a local hospital. The motorcyclist did not have any drugs or alcohol in his system. The pile of gravel in the middle of the road was found to be the cause of the accident. Driver Slams Into Ashland City Home

According to WTVF-TV, a driver crashed into an Ashland City house on April 8. Thankfully, no one was injured in the accident. The crash occurred at about 11 a.m. near Jefferson Street. According to the news outlet, 82-year-old Doye Latimer said it felt like her gas pedal got stuck while leaving her driveway and she lost control of her car. “My car started going faster and faster,” said Latimer, according to WTVF. “I saw a big tree in front of me and swerved to miss it. I ended up in somebody’s kitchen.” No one was home when the crash occurred. Witnesses said they saw debris and smoke coming from the home. “We were scared it was going to catch on fire. We rushed to get a fire extinguisher while some guys from the electric company tried to get the driver out of the car and make sure she was ok,”…

Mother Killed, 7-Year-Old Injured In Bordeaux Rollover Accident

According to the WTVF-TV, a mother died and her 7-year-old son was injured in a rollover accident near Bordeaux on August 3. The television station reported that Elizabeth Staley was driving a Ford Explorer north on Ashland City Highway near Briley Parkway when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and sideswiped a Dodge Caravan. Staley’s vehicle then left the roadway and rolled over. Staley died at the scene of the crash—her son suffered non-life threatening injured and was taken to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The driver of the van and its passenger, Robert and Patricia McBee, both 70, also suffered non-critical injuries and were taken to Centennial Medical Center for treatment, according to WTVF.
