Do I Need a Clarksville Car Accident Attorney? Multiple People Injured in Bypass Accident

The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reported that three vehicles were involved in a car accident on February 21 on the U.S. Highway 41A Bypass when a driver crossed into oncoming traffic. According to the paper, Margaret L. Mayfield, 43, of Clarksville, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe west on the bypass when she crossed over and hit an eastbound 1999 Ford Expedition driven by Clarksville’s Shelly L. Gerlach. Mayfield then hit an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by James C. Sanders, 59, also of Clarksville. Mayfield’s Tahoe came to rest in the ditch against a utility pole. Sanders’ reportedly attempted to avoid Mayfiend’s Tahoe, but was hit, causing the Malibu to leave the roadway and flip over in a ditch. Following that initial set of crashes, Daniel L. Injured In a Clarksville Car Accident? Man Dies in Montgomery County Crash

According to WTVF-TV, one person was killed on February 23 in a single-car accident in Montgomery County, southeast of Clarksville. The station reported that the crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m., near mile marker 13 on Interstate 24. Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) told the station that 48-year-old Bobby Patton, of Marion, Kentucky, was a passenger in a vehicle that was attempting to merge lanes. While attempting to avoid hitting another vehicle, 49-year-old Elizabeth Patton veered off the roadway and her vehicle overturned several times before coming to rest on the side of the interstate. Elizabeth Patton was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. It is unclear whether Bobby died at the scene of the accident or after receiving treatment. Another Person Killed in a Clarksville Pedestrian Accident

According to the Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle, another person was killed in a pedestrian accident in the city on February 14. The paper reported that the accident occurred near 1985 Fort Campbell Boulevard. The victim involved in the accident, Thomas Burchett, 49, of Clarksville, was listed in critical condition in a hospital last week. Keith Germany, 49, the driver of a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus, allegedly struck Burchett. A representative for the police department said that Burchett was not wearing reflective clothing and not in an intersection or in a marked crosswalk when he was struck around 9 p.m. The representative told the paper that the accident is the sixth pedestrian crash in Clarksville since December 2013.
