According to WKRN, at approximately midnight on Tuesday, April 8, a man lost control of his vehicle and rolled off the road. The automobile was traveling through Coopertown, Tennessee when the driver swerved off the road near the intersection of Flewellyn and New Chapel Roads. The car rolled a number of times down the roadside embankment before eventually settling on its side. The situation could have been tragic, as the driver’s four-year-old son was also in the car.
However, when emergency crews arrived at the scene both the father and son were standing beside the car. The son told authorities that he managed to climb safely out of the car after the accident, but they are still unsure whether the father was launched through a window or crawled out on his own. According to an eyewitness report, the driver had a significant amount of glass lodged in his back. Emergency crews promptly escorted the father and son to the Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield to treat his wounds.
