Seven People Injured in Edmondson Pike Car Accident

WTVF-TV reported seven people, including two children, were injured in a car accident in south Nashville on December 20.

According to WTVF, a Nissan Sentra was driving southbound on Edmondson Pike when it attempted to turn left onto Whispering Hills Drive and was struck on the passenger side by a Toyota Sienna traveling north.

The accident occurred around 9 a.m. Officials with the Metro Police Department said that four people in the Sentra were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment, while a passenger in the front seat of the vehicle was listed in critical condition.

According to WTVF, a mother and two children who were occupying the Sienna were taken to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital for treatment. Police told the station that the crash was a result of the Sentra’s failure to yield when turning left.
