Wrong Way Wrongful Death: 3 Killed in Fiery Tractor-Trailer Crash

Some of the most devastating automobile accidents involve tractor-trailers. These behemoth machines can weigh several tons and travel at high speeds. When tractor-trailers strike other vehicles, the result is often catastrophic personal injury and death. Why is the Tennessee Department of Transportation Making Changes to I-40?

Last week, a horrific accident shut down a 10-mile stretch of Interstate 40 in Dickson County. The accident involved six vehicles, one of which was a truck carrying hazardous waste material. Collision Between Bus and Cement Truck Leaves One Dead and Another in Critical Condition

Memphis Interstate 240 was shut down for four hours on May 14 after a cement truck collided with a MATA bus in a fatal truck accident. Witnesses report that the cement truck lost control when merging onto the south bound lane and hit the bus, driven by Chantel Sanders, head-on. Several people tried to help the driver, but police said she died on impact. Police are unsure if Sanders was wearing a seatbelt, but said it would not have mattered given the brutality of the impact. The cement truck driver was taken to the hospital for critical injuries. There were no other passengers on the bus and it is unknown if the cement truck driver will be charged. Truck accidents are often devastating because of the sheer force a semitrailer carries behind it during a crash. Truck drivers are supposed to be alert and responsible, given the devastation their truck…
