How Can I Avoid Drunk Driving this Fourth of July?

With the Fourth of July falling on a Saturday this year, we hope that our readers stay safe by avoiding drunk driving. Each year, the Tennessee Highway Patrol increases its presence on roadways to help alleviate drunk driving concerns. Last year, the Volunteer State recorded the fewest traffic fatalities on record during the Fourth of July, with only seven statewide. The THP said its increased presence also led to 119 drunk driving arrests and more than 1,000 seat belt violation citations from July 3-6, 2014. While you are enjoying your holiday festivities tomorrow, remember that there are no excuses for drunk driving.
