Murfreesboro Motorcycle Accident Kills Man

Updating a blog post from last week, a Murfreesboro motorcycle accident killed a man on October 27 off South Church Street in front of the main entrance to the Indian Hills subdivision. According to WGNS Radio, 26-year old motorcyclist DeMorris Webb was traveling towards Murfreesboro and attempted to turn right into Indian Hills when the wreck occurred. As Webb was turning, a car in the oncoming lane failed to yield to Morris and allegedly pulled into his direct path. WGNS said that Webb locked up the brakes on his bike and laid the bike on the ground, sliding into the side of the oncoming car being driven by 33-year old from Bell Buckle. Webb, from Christiana, was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and later flown by Life Flight Helicopter to Vanderbilt where he was pronounced deceased. Rutherford County Truck Accident Results in Injuries

According to WTVF-TV, two truck drivers were hospitalized after two tractor-trailers hauling food collided on October 17 off Interstate 24 in Rutherford County. The television station reported that the crash occurred around 10 p.m., at mile marker 89 in the eastbound lanes. One of the trucks was carrying produce, while the other truck was carrying milk. Both drivers were transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and their condition is unknown. Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) said the accident remains under investigation. It took officials several hours to clean up food and milk on the road following the accident. Tennessee Truck Accidents The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration estimates that 500,000 trucking accidents occur every year. These accidents often result in catastrophic injuries like traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, amputation and broken bones, as trucks weigh more than cars.
