Good Samaritan Sought Following Nashville Crash

In a story making waves on social media, an Ohio woman is looking for the Good Samaritan who helped rescue her during a Nashville-area car accident 13 years ago. According to the Tennessean, Maddie Williams has posted a public status to Facebook, which has been shared by thousands of people describing the man who helped save her following a vehicle accident in June 2002. The accident occurred in Millersville, 15 miles outside of Nashville, when Williams’ family was traveling from Ohio to Texas. Their truck, a Toyota Tundra, was pulling a wheel camper when another vehicle struck it. The crash resulted in heavy damage to the vehicle, killing Williams’ mother and seriously injuring her brother. Caught on Video: MTA Bus Crashes into Nashville Coffee Shop

In a shocking video that went viral and made national headlines, a Metro bus crashed into a Nashville coffee shop on October 21. The accident occurred at Three Brothers, located at 2813 West End. According to the Tennessean, the bus was parked across from the coffee shop when it started rolling backwards and went over a curve, crashing into the front of the business and into a plate glass window. Thankfully, customers were in the back of the shop when the accident occurred; however, the scare was caught on the shop’s surveillance video. “We watched it as it rolled. It was in slow motion,” said Three Brothers owner T.J. Wilt to the Tennessean. A representative with the Metro Transit Authority said the incident is under investigation. Nashville Head-on Collision Kills One, Injures Six

According to WKRN-TV, a man was killed on August 19 in a head-on collision in Nashville on Interstate 440, near Interstate 65. The station reported that the crash occurred on the eastbound lanes of the interstate, near Nolensville Pike at around 4 p.m. According to an initial investigation, the 22-year-old driver of a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder struck a 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette van head-on, resulting in the death of its 49-year-old driver. According to reports, there were six children in the van, in addition to the driver. Several of them were transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for injury treatment. The driver of the Pathfinder, who was also injured, reportedly told investigators that he was traveling westbound when another vehicle came into his lane, causing him to swerve to avoid being hit.
