An explosion rocked a tractor-trailer around 3 am in Antioch, just outside of the Ruthorford County line on Monday, June 18.

The Nashville Fire Department said that two people were injured in the explosion, and they were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. The explosion occurred at Southeastern Freight Lines; officials are unsure if other vehicles were damaged in the explosion, although smoke and fire could be seen around nearby vehicles around the time of the accident.

The fire department estimates that the explosion occurred when two men attempted to change a faulty two motor inside a trailer. One of them, inside the trailer, attempted to remove the motor and caused a release of propane gas. Firefighters believe that something sparked the propane, causing the explosion.

We pray for the recovery of the two people injured, and hope that this company can prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future. Have you experienced loss due to a truck accident? If so, contact Stan Davis today for a free initial consultation.
