According to WTVF-TV, a woman was killed in a car accident on Interstate 24 in Nashville on November 15.
The station reported that Ana Maria Hernandez was killed in a collision around 3 p.m., on I-24, near the Bell Road exit. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department reported that Hernandez was riding in the back of a Toyota Corolla that was heading west on the interstate when it encountered heavy traffic, rear-ending another vehicle. The vehicle then spun around and landed in oncoming traffic where it was struck by an SUV, two more vehicles and a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the Corolla, Adelina Espinoza, 45, and a passenger Jaqualine Mansilla, 30, were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for injuries, according to police.
According to WTVF, traffic was backed up on the interstate for nearly six hours because of the collision.
