According to the Tennessean, a Nashville woman was charged with drunk driving following a head-on car accident in Franklin on September 16.
The news source reported that the impact from the crash that occurred near Mack C. Hatcher Memorial Parkway and Liberty Pike was so powerful that it destroyed both of the cars involved. The crash occurred at around 11:45 p.m.
One of the women involved in the accident, 45, was operating her vehicle on the wrong side of the divided highway when she hit another vehicle, according to law enforcement representatives. Following the crash, she was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and driving on the wrong side of the road.
Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured in the accident, which remains under investigation. The woman who was charged in connection to the crash is scheduled to appear in court in October.
