According to CNN, four people were killed in a small airplane crash at the John C. Tune Airport in Nashville on February 4.
The victims are all believed to be a part of the same family, according to CNN, and there were no survivors aboard the plane, which crashed beside the Bellevue YMCA.
The plane was coming from the Great Bend Municipal Airport in Great Bend, Kansas, and was preparing for a second approach to the Nashville airport when the accident occurred.
The Kansas City Star reported that Glenn and Elaine Mull, their daughter, Amy Harter, and granddaughter, Sami Harter, were aboard the twin-engine Gulfstream 690C. Glenn Mull, the pilot, 62, was the owner of Mid-Kansas Agri Co. and Mull’s Farms and Feeding, according to the Star.
The Star also reported that the crash damaged cars in the YMCA parking lot, and could have caused catastrophic damage if it hit the building, which had about 300 people in it at the time of the accident.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash.
