An accident involving a Geo Tracker, two tractor-trailers and a house killed a man on Wednesday, October 10.

According to Tennessee investigators, Tanner Anderson was driving the Tracker erratically when it crashed into a semi-truck carrying a load of logs. Both vehicles were heading north on Highway 45 in McNairy County. The Tracker veered into the southbound lanes where it crashed into an 18-wheeler carrying a tractor, which then crashed into a house. The Tracker burst into flames and Tanner died at the scene.

Fortunately, there were no people inside the house when the 18-wheeler crashed into it, but one of the family pets died in the accident.

Lisa Miller, the owner of the destroyed home, told WBBJ News that the overwhelming emotion she feels is remorse for the victim and his family.

“I know him and his family and I feel so bad for them because they have been through a lot,” she said. “They’ve had a lot of tragedy.” She said she plans to stay at her children’s homes.

We offer our prayers to the victims’ family members in the aftermath of this tragic accident, and we are thankful that there were no other injuries or fatalities reported. Considering that this fatal truck accident involved two large trucks and two sides of a highway, it could have been far more catastrophic.
