The Tennessean reports that the multiple vehicle accident on February 18 was caused by a ladder lying in the middle of Interstate 40. During the morning commute, a 26-year-old woman was unable to steer clear of the ladder and subsequently lost control of her vehicle. She hit the concrete barrier multiple times, in addition to colliding with a nearby tractor trailer and sedan. Her vehicle finally came to a halt again the concrete barrier wall. According to Mt. Juliet police, none of the drivers involved have reported any serious injuries.
