A middle-aged man was injured by repetitive trauma during the course and scope of his employment. A trial was held in Davidson County. The insurance company doctor testified that the Plaintiff’s injuries were not causally related to his work and, therefore, were not compensable.
Plaintiff, through medical proof outside workers’ compensation, was able to establish that the Plaintiff was 100% disabled to the body as a whole and a trial verdict was returned in excess of $300,000.00 with the Plaintiff retaining open medicals for his lifetime. The Defendant offered $10,000.00 to settle this case prior to trial.
