Tennessee Work Injury

No matter how you are hurt on the job in Tennessee (barring some circumstances like intentional misconduct), you are entitled to benefits under Tennessee workers’ compensation laws. Workers’ comp serves to help you recoup lost wages and obtain the medical care that you need.

However, workers’ comp is not the only way for the injured worker to recover. Using a third-party personal injury claim, the injured worker can seek damages from a third-party whose negligence caused the injuries. Examples of these kinds of claims include:

  • A claim for burns caused by fault chemical storage equipment manufactured by another company
  • Fall injuries due to defective scaffolding manufactured by another company
  • Injuries caused when a coworker fails to uphold safety standards

If you have suffered an injury on the job, seek medical attention and then contact a personal injury attorney to determine your best course of action moving forward.

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
