On May 16, two Montgomery Central High cheerleaders were victims in a DUI car crash in Clarksville, Tennessee. Roni Proctor was traveling north on Highway 48 when he drifted into the southbound lane, hitting a Chevy Malibu driven by Kylie Eastin and her passenger Ashley Travis. Both girls were airlifted to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center to receive treatment, while Proctor was transported by EMS to Gateway Medical Center.

Proctor, 26, was cited for DUI and vehicular assault. Eastin, 17, reportedly had a broken femur that required immediate surgery, while 15-year-old Travis remains in critical condition on a ventilator. Eastin, a senior who just made the cheerleading squad at Western Kentucky, is hoping to make it to her graduation.
