Smyrna is a small town located in Rutherford County, Tennessee and has been named one of the best places in the country to retire by the U.S. News & World Report. As of 2010, there were 39,974 people living in Smyrna, which has a total area of 23 square miles and has portions of Percy Priest Lake reservoir sitting within its limits.
