WTVF-TV reported that three people were injured and hospitalized following a rollover crash in downtown Nashville on April 4. The station said that the crash occurred around 2:30 a.m., at the intersection of 3rd Avenue North and Church Street.

Investigators told WTVF that the driver of a Ford Explorer SUV ran a flashing red light and struck a public works’ truck. The SUV rolled over and came to a rest upside down on the sidewalk, according to the station.

Those involved in the crash reportedly had to be transported to area hospitals for injury treatment, including the drivers of both vehicles and a passenger in the SUV.

The Metro Police Department and Nashville Fire Department responded to the crash. An investigation into the accident is ongoing. It is unclear if alcohol played a role in the crash. Charges are pending.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I AM INJURED IN A NASHVILLE ROLLOVER ACCIDENT?

Rollover accidents are often the result of driver negligence. These accidents can be incredibly dangerous, as they can result in drivers and passengers being ejected from vehicles.

They can also result in a victim being trapped while emergency workers attempt to extract him or her from a badly damaged vehicle. Rollover accidents can result in spinal cord injuriestraumatic brain injuries (TBIs) or wrongful death.
