According to WTVF-TV, five people were injured following a single vehicle crash in Robertson County on July 19. The station reported that a “vehicle was driving northbound on Edgar Dillard Road around 7:50 p.m. when the driver went off the road near the intersection [of] Betts Road.”
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) said that the driver of the vehicle was trying to turn the car when it began to drift into oncoming traffic. The driver reportedly overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, before it went off the road, hitting a tree and rolling over.
Troopers said that there were six people in the vehicle and that two were ejected. At least five sustained injuries, according to WTVF. Three of the injured people were e transported by LifeFlight medical helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Two patients were transported by ground to Skyline Medical Center.
Last month, a Nashville man was killed in a fiery car crash on Highway 12 near Lewis Perry Road just outside of Ashland City after he overcorrected his vehicle. Overcorrecting can lead to accidents and rollover crashes, as drivers and passengers are ejected from vehicles.
