One Injured in Rutherford County Car Accident

According to WTVF-TV, a person was killed in a rollover vehicle accident in Rutherford County on November 10.

The station reported that the crash happened around 9:40 a.m., off State Route 840 near mile marker 47. Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) said that only one person was injured in the collision.

According to the THP, the driver of a Ford Explorer veered off the road and lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. Witnesses said the driver attempted to overcorrect his steering, causing the vehicle to flip multiple times before coming to rest on the road.

The victim was taken via LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The crash remains under investigation. Officials said that alcohol and drug tests are pending.
